If you are just visiting my blog-WELCOME! Yep, it's new. Just gett'en it off the ground. I shall be posting as often as I can. Of course, something exciting doesn't happen everyday..but life is sure still interesting.
So little time to do all the things I want to do. I think this rings true for all of us. I've been think'en about what direction I want to go in and where I want to go with my scrapbooking. I'm sort of at a crossroads right now. Tons going on as I prepare my portfolio for CHA, design for "The Scrapbook Shop", scrap entries for "Scrapbook Trends" magazine, get my blog up and running, and just living life. There is so much I want to do right now. Would love to try out for "Scrapbooker of the Year" with CK & the biggie, "Memory Maker's Masters". Neither two seem within reach. I think most scrapper gals feels this way and then I think about my friend Mitch over at "The Scrapbook Shop"- he won HOF this year with CK. So cool! The biggest culprit though is time. I don't think I have the time to put it all together before the deadline arrives. So much else going on. Even the small things sometimes feel out of reach for me. Not because I don't have the talent, but because of lack of time. Curious to know how other scrapp'en ladies with kids do it all..would love to hear your comments.
I did manage to find time to get a cool layout done today. I've already posted it in my gallery over at Two Peas-but if you didn't check it out over there, check it out here:
Soooo love the colors in this layout. Funny, cause I just told Mitch I want to work with muted colors at some point. Well, that point isn't today. This layout is all about color. Notice Mr.Simon the kitty cat. He's one of my outdoor guys (I'm a super cat lover-used to be a tech at a cat clinic). He just finished up his morn'en meal. No, it wasn't a bird. 9 Lives. I just happen to catch this shot as he was lick'en his lips. This funny picture called for some seriously, fun colors.
Note the buttons-I'm big on combining buttons with rhinestones right now. Plain buttons need glamour and pizazz. Glue dots, rhinestones, and sequins are the way to do it. I did use some of that new Making Memories "Funky Vintage" line also. My favorite is the bird-that's Jenni Bowlins new rub-ons. Those can be purchased at her website: http://www.jennibowlin.com/ or at "The Scrapbook Shop" in St.Paul. If you haven't seen her stuff, you must get over there to check it out. I'm not soliciting either..Just showing ya cool stuff I love (which I'll do in many of my posts cause I'm constantly searching for inspiration & nifty scrapbook products online).

Happy Memorial Day everybody! Hope you found some time to scrap! -Chris
