Transition

Not entirely sure where the week went, but thankfully, we're starting a new one. Ethan's health is finally turning around. He's almost back to his old self. Not quite sure how much longer I could of gone on with Ethan that sick. This single parent deal is much harder than I expected. Some days, I wonder how I'm going to do this for the next twenty years. I have no clue. Just glad the little guy is better and back to his old tricks. Life is much easier this way for both of us.

Layoutcu

Trying to finish up a few layouts for "All Moments Remembered" kit club. I'm sharing a sneak peek of one of the layouts. I'll post pics of all the layouts once they're completed and after they're showcased at "All Moments Remembered" later on this week.

Mac

I usually spend Tuesday and Thursday late afternoons at one of the local coffee shops. My lovely father watches the little one while I take some time to relax and enjoy myself for a while. I had thought about purchasing a laptop for these moments, but didn't want to rush it. It wasn't until I realized that I might be doing some work from home that I thought it was a good idea to purchase a laptop. I asked my BIL which laptop he preferred (he's a programmer like my husband was) and he suggested the MacBook Pro. I went out and test drove it, fell in love with it, and brought it home. I've had it now for a few days. I have a ton to learn. It's a superb computer and I'm really enjoying it. It definitely handles better than any pc I've worked with in the past. The only drawback is having to transfer files and getting everything organized on the new computer. I think once I have that part taken care of, all will be well.

Elsie

Noteworthy

It was beautiful outside today, so I decided to visit one of the local outdoor malls. I hit up Archivers and ran into a few things. I found Elsie's new recipe card book. I also found more Noteworthy stuff (I grabbed a bunch of it a few days ago at "The Scrapbook Shop" in St.Paul) to bring home. I did take a peek at Elsie's cards and I was a tad bit disappointed. I have a number of her old publications and I love them.  This publication was restricted to mainly KI Memories and Love Elsie product. The layouts don't feel the same for this reason. I think the card set is a great option for teenagers or young people who love to scrapbook.

During our trip to the mall today, and because the sun was out and beaming it's rays, I bought Ethan a new outdoor summer hat. He wore it around the house while playing outside. It's super adorable and wanted to share a picture of him wearing it:

Newhat

Taking some time to scrapbook this evening. Hope all of you had a wonderful weekend. More later.

Can't wait to see the finished results on your LO... Feel like I'm waiting for the May kit to come out again...LOL Do you really love the lap top... I have a iMac, for about 1 yr. now and I adore it... Would love to have the pro but its kinda pricey right now.....(Only since I don't really need one just want one.) LOL

Love Ethan's hat.... I always loved when my kids wanted to wear something I just bought.... Wished I'd been scrapping back then...Some cute pictures when they wear the item to bed....

Hope you had a great weekend and an awesome week....Take care...

I Scrap So All Moments Are Remembered!!!!

You must let me know where get such delicious scrap materials. I look and look for things that you show on your site and never find any of them. Can't find the purse, can't find the scrap items.

*Insert heavy sigh here*

Oh, too bad! You should have waited on the computer. They have new MacBooks and MacBooks Pros coming out in June. Still a great purchase, though! They are great machines.

Glad things are looking better for you. It's always tough when the little one gets sick, especially now that it's just you. I feel for you.

I LOVE your work. I subscribe to many blogs but I always get extra excited when I see that you have a new post. I also love looking for stuff that you mention on your site. It's funny, I subscribe to the Making Memories blog and other manufacturer (including Elsie of Love Elsie) and I would only go look and buy if you buy. Wow, huh?

Take care, keep posting!

What a great picture of Ethan! I love how he's looking at the layout Mom created, such cute little hands. I'm glad to hear he's feeling better. It makes life alot easier for you.
Thanks for sharing!
Denise

ok those sneaks are just torture! I can't wait to see!

I just wanted to say how much I respect and admire you for all that you are able to accomplish while being so busy as a single mom to your little guy. I can only imagine how difficult it must be for you at times, but hang in there. You are doing a wonderful job.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful work and your story with us.

I was a single mom for almost 12 years, so i totally feel your pain!
I, too, got a MacBook Pro in January - I absolutely love it. I learn more about it everyday :)

Oh, I'm so happy to see another Mac convert! I know you will love it! And your photos are always gorgeous :)

Christine- I get studio calico and always love your style - love the scrapbooking and also your photography- those kitties are super adorable- and love the websites you tellus about- fun stuff- I have seen the perseona purses on etsy- I talked to the owner and was going to get one but haven't gotten it yet- she is actually lives very close to me and said I could go and see how they look in person- its so hard for me to make a purse decision without "trying it on" KWIM?- but my question to you is this- do did you opt NOT to get the elsie recipe book? Ijust ordered and now not sure if I should get it still!!! I do have the 52 challenges and have liked that when it came out- let me know!

thanks

Christine I just found your blog a few days ago, and wow, you are one very strong lady! The pain you have been through in recent months must at times have been unbearable, and yet here you are moving on, remembering, creating, and providing your gorgeous little son with a very bright future. You are an inspiration.
I love your work, it's truly gorgeous! I'll be a regular visitor from now on!
Glad to read Ethan is feeling brighter, it's so awful when little ones are sick, for them and you!

You can do it and you will One day at a time. I've been single mom raising 2 kids with the last one in college now. Looking back now, I don't know how I did it. A lot of tears, a lot of laughter, and a lot of Love. Your friends will hold you up when you need it most.... just keep going - one day at a time. Love & Blessings

Great score on your shopping excursion! And I hope your new laptop works out for you.

Just to have a separate Comment for the cutie... He is just adorable looking at that layout! SO CUTE!

You'll love the MAC, they are so superior to pc's.

You'll make it as a single mom too, one day at a time. I raised 3 children alone, they are all now adults and none of them went to jail. Nor did I :-) Stay in the moment.

Christine, I started following your blog a few months back, but only now have I plucked up the courage to post.
You are a real inspiration to me, as a woman who can be so strong under such emotionally trying circumstances.
Your little boy is adorable, and looks so happy and healthy...
Your art is wonderful and I look foward to the little peeks you share...

I could go on and on (for real!), but want you to know that I'm sending you peacful and loving vibes from a still-chilly Canada...

That pic of Ethan is so cutie!!

Christine, aside from the inspiration and looking at your lovely work, I love the product recommendations/showcase. Thanks for the honest feedback regarding the cards. Ethan is a handsome little guy and I'm glad he is feeling better.
