When off from work, me and the little guy organize an afternoon outing together. Today, we took a few moments to visit the ol' Barnes and Nobel bookstore before making our way to Eagan's indoor community park, "The Blast" (it's as cool as it sounds - spaceships, satellites & galaxies). We did some perusing around the store before reaching the kids section - Ethan's favorite spot because it houses free access to a Thomas the Train table and plenty of trains to keep him busy for at least twenty minutes (precious minutes for a mom wanting to check out a huge pile of mags before exiting the store). So, while Ethan was busy playing trains, I took to home decor mags in search of a new color palette for my next kit. I quickly located a color palette that reminded me of a scrapbook collection I saw at show called, "Vintage Blue" from We R' Memory Keepers. It's another favorite of mine from CHA. It doesn't necessarily remind me of "Spring", but the colors are divine. I brought the DYI mag home with me so I could start coordinating product for the new kit. Below is a sampling of the kit in progress (much of the product has been changed already - I still haven't solidified my product selections and won't until late this week). Tell me what you think - your feedback is much appreciated!
Speaking of DYI magazine (Home and Gardens) - check out these crafty ideas for using pattern paper and unusual supply items. Like the jewelry box combination and rolled paper.
And just because I think this kid looks soooo cute when he's sleeping...mom snuck a couple photos of Ethan this afternoon while he was snoozing. I haven't posted many photos of Ethan lately. I haven't been doing a very good job at taking photos these last couple of weeks. My camera has been terribly neglected. Even while in California, the only time I took out my camera was at show...must remember to photograph me and Ethan more often. Life goes by all to fast.
This is a rather short post, I know...I want to relax a bit this evening and maybe sneak in a few minutes of scrapbooking. For those that commented on the CHA photos - you're welcome. I'm terribly excited about all the new product releases and can't help but share some at that excitement with you guys. If there's a photo of something you want to know more about, please feel free to email me - some of you already have and hopefully, I've answered your question'(s) correctly. Also, feel free to download any of the photos for personal use, including use on a blog (please provide credit). Thanks!
