He is crazy for water, but more so for sprinklers. It no longer surprises me anymore when he requests a visit to the sprinkler section during one of our trips to either Target or Walmart. Rather than the toys, we navigate the wall of sprayers and shelved hose set-ups. If enough time goes by while standing in front of the behemoth of water contraptions, Ethan will put in an order for more of them. I usually have to remind him that we've enough sprayers, sprinklers and hoses at home and his response is often, "But, I don't have this one, look, it's red!" Why the color matters, I'm not really sure, because it'll only take him an hour to forget that we own it after bringing it home. Still, I'm a total sucker for making the kid happy...and to prove it, we've ample sprinklers and sprayers in the garage to keep us going for the next twenty years!
The layout itself doesn't encompass the usual "Christine" details, but it's enough to tell the story. I'm realizing that I don't always need to go "overboard" on every single layout! It's simply not practical, especially when time is a factor and there not being enough of it to go around.
"Crazy For You" seemed the optimal phrase of choice given the situation. I planted it on top a patterned paper, covered film strip (Seven Gypsies).
American Crafts produces some of the best, craftiest embellishments to date! These vinyl embellishments are some of my favorites, along with their felted embellishment designs. They're a tremendous time saver in terms of embellishment creation.
ABC's are an easy automatic on kid's layouts. The typography of these school embedded cursive alphas have been patiently waiting for me to use them..finally, they've a home (Imaginisce).
