It's Memorial Day Weekend. Ethan and I will be making the trip to Eric's resting place with a bouquet of roses, an assortment of rocks (Eric was passionate about nature), and the wonderful memories formed during our twelve years together. I'm sure Ethan will find a couple of extra items on our way to the site to give to dad since he's privy to rescuing misplaced flowers, knick-knacks, tree sticks, leaves, and whatever else happens to cross his path prior to our reaching the top of the hill. Laugh. Ethan's to also share his news of graduating from preschool! Next Thursday night is the special graduation ceremony. I know that Eric is mighty proud of his lil'guy - it's a big moment for all of us, but even more so for Ethan. He's come so far, and is already nearing kindergarten..It's a reminder of how quickly time passes and that always, we miss having daddy around. Thinking of you today, Eric. We love & miss you.
