For a very long time, I've known Lori Gentile, owner of the scrapbook industry's newest kit club, Gossamer Blue. When I'd heard about her latest venture, there wasn't a doubt in my mind that it would be top notch and another great addition to the community. During it's debut a few weeks ago, I thought the website and kit assortment to be highly refreshing and attractive. Lori appears to have a sense of what it takes to make her visitor's happy. The kits are colorful, well stocked, carefully organized and seamlessly affordable. Similar to other kit club websites, there's a growing gallery, design team and message board. There's also an array of exclusive products included in each kit, including png's for those with a Cameo, or other electronic die-cut machine. Up for grabs is a free 12 x 12 album as well - visit the site for details. No doubt, this club is going to take off and grow by leaps and bounds! Lori's done a tremendous service to people like me. Laugh. I love it all, really!
I did something I haven't done in a long time. I joined a design team. Gossamer Blue, to be specific. Something about the place just stole my heart. When September's kit arrived at my place a few weeks ago, I spread it across my kitchen island and thought, "This kit is unbelievable!" And in that instant, I volunteered for the team. No questions asked. For me, that's a "HUGE WOW"!
I'm still guesting for September. Yesterday, I finished my first Gossamer Blue layout, so I put together a couple of sneak-peaks to keep you preoccupied until the kit debuts on September 1st, 10 a.m. PST. In case you're wondering, the projects include the add-ons. I know that not everyone is interested in add-ons, but I thought it important to make you aware. I use only the products from the main kit and add-ons when creating works for the club. There is the occasional exception; glitter, paint, spray mist, die-cuts, etc.
I'll have more sneak peeks for you in the very near future. There are still a couple of more GB projects awaiting completion. No kidding.
Ok, so was just over at Gossamer Blue and it looks like there's a wait list. Well, it's worth the wait. Trust me. I'm going to head back to my craft desk and get worken'! Thank-you so much for hanging out with me today. Take care, friends!
