Just in case you hadn't noticed, Gossamer Blue's "Look-Book" is posted at the Gossamer Blue website! Inside, you'll find a handful of snippets of what's to come next month in November's scrapbook kit. At this very moment, I have the kit contents scattered across my desk, in various piles, and sorted in such a way as to keep tracked of it all!! And let it be known, this kit is crazy, beautiful!! If you're one of those scrapbookers that loves the designs of Elizabeth Kerchner, and are a firm believer that hazy pink, shabby turquoise, and true gold make the perfect color palette, then sign yourself up for the kit! The entire design team is swooning over this one...
Now, it's fairly obvious that I'm addicted to the metallic hue, "Gold". I've been known to use it on almost every project the last four years. My go-to technique for implimenting the color is via the use of a simple gold gel pen/gold leaf pen. There's also the option of acrylic paint, or spray mist. I often outline various elements with a "gold border". It tends to be a quick means of dressing up an otherwise bland something or other. I then layer the item with either black/cream cardstock, reliable neutrals that match almost everything. Tomorrow, I plan to turn back the clock, and give you a peek at this technique, amongst others, directly. You'll see a couple of new images, as well as images from way back in the day! Times may have changed, but my passion gold remains the same!
I'll see you guys tomorrow! Don't forget to check out Gossamer Blue's Look Book!! Take care...
