You + Me = Love. {Crate Paper Blog - Fourteen Collection Debut is live} It just might turn out that on Valentine's Day, I won't be without love. No, I'm not referring to friends or family, but to someone special who I've been spending a lot of time with lately. He's an amazing guy, the first to re-introduce (since losing my dear sweet belated in 2008) the possibility of love, a second time around. Yes, I'm enamoured. He says and does all the right things. He makes me feel "wanted" and values our time together. There was an instant connection upon our first meeting. Some of his very first words to me were, "Wow, you are more beautiful than I could of imagined" Since that moment, we've been inseparable.
His name is Eric, and he's a cop from a small, quaint town out of Wisconsin. After giving up almost all hope of ever finding anything meaningful via the path of dating, I granted myself the courage to give it one more go. Our first meet and greet was at a coffee shop. I broke my "one phone call rule", hopped in my car to River Falls one morning, and drove straight way into the unknown. We hit it off right away. And no, we skipped the donuts ;) Wasn't more than a few hours after our first meeting that we arranged a second date. I was speechless when on the second date, he brought me a gift and even more kind words - we made killer chocolate chip cookies that night. On the third, I took him to my fave pizza joint "Lola's Pizza", and we enjoyed a movie thereafter. On the forth, he'd brought police badge stickers and play handcuffs for Ethan, and for me, authentic Wisconsin cheese curds. I still have some of the cheese tucked away in the fridge. It is seriously good stuff.
Even though we're beyond the first set of wonderful moments, we're managing to create more of them. Today, we carved pumpkins. It was an absolute blast!! The boys and I had a really great time hanging out...
Now, before I show you this next picture, take note - Ethan bumped into a plastic bag metal rack last night at Target and it just nearly missed his eye. It was a major meltdown moment for the two of us as it was his first "major" injury. Thankfully, Eric was there to help us out in dealing with the matter - I'd been so, so scared that his eye took the brunt of the force - the rack hit him just beneath the eye.
Poor little man!! We love the pumpkin though - Ethan picked out the design. We are a kitty-friendly household - this is our first official kitty pumpkin in celebration of Halloween. It looks even better in the dark!!
So, that is what I've been up to while my blog sits idle, waiting for a further update. That doesn't go to say that I don't have scrapbook news to share. Not sure if you'd noticed or not, but Crate Paper is hosting a love worthy debut titled "Fourteen". They're giving away the entire collection to one lucky person, as well. I recommend a quick stop-by, and a hopeful comment. Click HERE to visit.
There's also some Gossamer Blue sneak-peeks to pass along to you guys. I've posted them below. Gossamer Blue's November Kit is on schedule to release November 1st - for all the latest info, click HERE. Be prepared, the photos might instigate a frenzy of kit-neediness. It's my fave kit thus far...
In the last post, I mentioned an "All Gold" idea generator. It's still on my priority list, awaiting attention. I think what I'm ultimately going to do is post it alongside the introduction of Gossamer Blue's November Kit. I used gold quite a bit with it. And just so you're aware, the special post will publish here, not at Gossamer Blue. Stay tuned..I suspect it might be of interest to the many "gold" fans out there!!
And that about does it for tonight! Thanks so much for stopping by, especially to those of you that have been avid followers the last number of years. It's been an unbelievable journey, hasn't it? Another twist, more surprises - who knows where it might lead. I'm excited to find out...
